Jetfire is an elderly Autobot, even elderly than Ironhide, and has fought and gone through several conflicts with the Deceptions. He becomes a SR-71 Blackbird. In addition to this, it is because of his hurts and age that he has himself preferred to turn into an Autobot.
The Mudflap and Skids are the comparatively new Autobots and are energetic. Keeping in mind that the double duo is still novel to the entire business, they are fairly young.
