Effective Use of Free Traffic Exchanges to Build Traffic to your Web Site

In the process of becoming an Internet marketer, most of us have used free traffic exchanges at one time or another. After all, they promise free website traffic, and it seems to be so easy to just sit there and click away. However, after a while, most of us realize that either we are doing something wrong or free traffic exchanges just don’t work!

Oh, they deliver free website traffic, all right, but nobody buys into our product or program. We soon figure out that the people looking at our page have seen it before, are bored by it, and are just looking at it, if they ARE looking at it at all, just to pass the time until the next click is due. Really, they are probably more interested in what is going on with their web page than spending time worrying about ours. Eventually, most people begin to feel that it seems so pointless and they drop out and go try something else.

Now, there ARE people using free traffic exchanges to generate real traffic, visits by interested people, to their website, only they have learned a few tricks to make this happen. They have learned to avoid some of the more common mistakes that most people make when using free traffic exchanges.

1. They don’t use their real page. Certainly, the occasional offer or web page is either so universal in topic or so tempting in some way or another that it does okay…at least for a while. However, think about it. After a while, you began to recognize many of the web pages you were shown…over and over. You even began to think to yourself, “There’s that one again. That’s the seventh time I’ve seen it in the last hour.” That is, you might think that if you haven’t already zoned out.

By the way, that “seventh” time may actually be a first time. You realize, of course, that perhaps you have actually been looking at seven other members of the same affiliate program who are promoting their affiliate link. Ever see “your” site roll by? Maybe it wasn’t “your” site!

Part of the game for a successful Internet marketing experience is to stand out in some way, and this is especially true at free traffic exchanges. If you want to stand out, you are going to have to offer something that catches the eye of the other surfer and encourages him or her to click over to your real site. I am not going to go into a discussion of lead capture pages and splash pages right now, but a quick search on the Internet will provide more info.

They sometimes don’t even send people to their “sales” or “pitch” page directly from the traffic exchange. After all, if you can offer someone some kind of gift just for dropping by that helps predispose them to look more favorably on other offers you present than they would if they just show up at a sales site.

2. They use the best free traffic exchanges. For a newcomer, or even for an old internet marketing pro, figuring out which traffic exchanges are the best ones to use can be a challenge. Rest assured, however, that it can be done and it is worth the effort. There are websites that do keep track of this sort of thing, and it is well worth your while to track those down and avail yourself of their knowledge. The good news is that these are generally free and provide you with additional information about free traffic exchanges as well as the opportunity and tools to help build your downline in the various traffic exchanges.

3. They build a downline. Remember the hours you sat in front of your computer clicking away only to find that you have generated just a few hits to your site? Well, to make use of the relatively untargeted visits provided by free traffic exchanges, you need to have hundreds of hits…perhaps even thousands. There is no way most people can or will sit there for the hours needed to generate web site traffic in the volume required. In fact, there are just two ways; buy it or build a downline. Having hundreds of people in your downline at any one site, maybe even thousands, can provide the hits you need for free.

By the way, this brings us back to being with the best traffic exchanges as they will usually have the biggest base of people to view your site, will be the easiest to recruit people to, and may even allow you to buy a downline, as in the case of WebbizInsider.com.

4. They pay for services. This requires a little savvy shopping around, but once the Internet marketing professional has his or her free traffic exchange system up and running, they are willing, at some exchanges at least, to pay to upgrade to a professional level. Many traffic exchanges will allow an upgraded member to collect commissions on purchases made by their downline in addition to getting credits when they surf. Plus, an upgraded membership often includes extra credits as well. With a big downline, this could be a business in itself.

5. They experiment. Maybe I should say that they test. One thing works good at one exchange but not as well as another. It may be only the background color is turning people off, or it may be the whole design of the site. Maybe the product or offer is just not catching on. One test of a product is “did I like it”, but, even so, not everyone is going to be interested in what YOU are interested in.

6. They treat their traffic exchange membership like a business. They take the stance of selling the traffic exchange they are using just as they would do marketing their main product or service. They keep records and try to track which exchanges and which pages are giving the best results.

Ebay – One of the Easiest List Building & Traffic Generation Tools

Ebay may very well be one of the best list building and traffic generation tools available on the internet. So many marketers underestimate its potential and really drop the ball when it comes to incorporating it into their overall marketing strategy. It is not just about selling old trinkets around the house and video games that you no longer play. Ebay is a very powerful web site that can be used very effectively for market research, keyword research, lead generation, product sales and Internet traffic generation, all either for free or for significantly less than what you would pay from other sources. One way to use Ebay is as a market research and keyword research tool. By simply creating a free account with them, you get the ability to search through all items that are available for sale. By doing an “advanced search” you can do a search only for items in which the auction has already ended. To do this, simply check off the option “completed items only.” To do market research and keyword research on Ebay, simply do a search for all the completed items with some of the keywords in your target market. This search will reveal to you what prospects are paying right now for items in your market as well as what keywords successful sellers are using to drive traffic to their auctions. As you can probably imagine, this type of information is incredibly valuable to those who actually use such information to their advantage…which is by the way highly recommended.Ebay can also be used for effective list building by making product sales. If you offer a low priced product (i.e. under $20) using their “Buy It Now” feature may very well work for you. Even if you offer a higher priced product, you can still make money selling the product with their service. However, you might be better off using their Classified Ads feature. Please note that a new policy has come into effect that if you sell downloadable products online through Ebay, you MUST list that item as a classified ad. Therefore, if you want to sell your downloadable products, make sure you either list it as a classified ad, or make it a physical product by putting it on a CD.Ebay is also one of the most underutilized traffic generation web sites on the internet today. Think about how much keywords in your target market go for on Google Adwords and Yahoo Sponsored Search. By utilizing the power of Ebay to your advantage, you can generate targeted prospects for significantly less than what it cost using a pay per click search engine. For example, one common strategy for traffic generation is to offer a low cost downloadable report. When your prospects purchase that report, you then send them to a download page where they download the report that they purchased and also provide them with an offer for the main product that you have to offer. This is a great marketing strategy because you already got the prospect to buy something from you. It is much easier to get a prospect that has already spent money with you to spend more money than it is to get a prospect who has never spent money with you and has joined your list for free to spend money with you for the first time. A certain percentage of prospects that buy your low cost report will also purchase your main item. In addition, on your listing page, you can refer your prospects to check out your “About Me” page on Ebay. On your About Me page, you can make an offer for anything you like, even a link to the main product you promote.Keep in mind that Ebay is one of the HIGHEST visited web sites on the internet today boasting hundreds of millions of users all across the world, ALL on that web site looking to BUY stuff. Where else can you go to find a congregation of BUYERS for the products and services that you offer? This is why if you are not using Ebay as part of your Internet marketing strategy, you need to strongly consider using it.If you are interested in learning more highly effective ways to drive traffic to your websites than you should definitely consider The Analyzed Marketing website traffic generation program. Useful Tips for Blogging , List Building Traffic

o, do you have a blog? Why not? You want people to come to your website, right? If you don’t have one, is it because you’re scared that your writing stinks on ice? Or, maybe you don’t think you have the know-how to set one up. But, and this is the best excuse, you think you don’t have the time. Guess what? You’re dead wrong.List building requires traffic. You need people to see your squeeze page, if you want them to join. Blogs will help with that because the search engines love them. They’re mainly text, so search engine spiders can view them easily, rather than having to navigate around complicated java scripts, flash, or too many images. They just breeze right through. If you post every day, you’ll soon rank high. Stick to a theme in your blog. So, if you’re writing about dogs, don’t go off on a tangent and write about the basketball game last night. Stick to dogs, include words that are germane to dogs in each post, and you’ll gain ranking. One of my blogs came out a PR5 within just a few months! If you don’t understand the significance, let me explain. When Google appoints page rank, it depends on lots of factors. I don’t want to get into that now, but let’s just say that a PR5 will show up better in search results than a PR0, 1, 2, 3, or 4. And for that reason it will get more traffic. The goal is to get your blog into the first three pages of results, the first page being the most desirable, with the top spot as your bull’s eye. That position gets the most traffic of all.But let’s address your worries:You can’t write:Well, you can. Anyone can. If you need something to help you, get a home study course and learn it. Then, sit in front of your computer or a blank sheet of paper, and just sit there. Soon, you’ll begin to form ideas. Write them down. Do this for one hour, at the same time, every day. Eventually, you’ll train your brain to think, “It’s writing time!”You can also find interesting tidbit on the web, and put excerpts from this stuff on your blog, too. Just be sure you aren’t plagiarizing. If you want to post more than 10% of the total words in the work, then, get permission from the author first. Or use an article from one of the directories, like Ezine Articles, snare, Use the work in its entirety, including the author’s resource box or bio box. Then add a paragraph of introduction to the piece and a closing paragraph and “wrap” the article with your own words.

Building Traffic with Viral Marketing

In the old days this was known as word-of-mouth marketing, one of the most effective techniques because it involves a recommendation or testimonial. When you need a professional service of any kind – be it a doctor, dentist, hair stylist, contractor or financial advisor, would you go to the Yellow Pages and just pick someone? Of course not. You would ask everyone you know for a recommendation. This is why these types of service professionals often join business referral groups like BNI. In these types of clubs, referral marketing is highly systemized and works very well for its members.

This same process is called “viral marketing” on the Internet. It’s named appropriately because of the enormous multiplication factor that can spread word on the web literally like a virus. Nothing else has quite the same power of building traffic for your website. It works in a similar fashion to opting in to a newsletter, but it should never require registration of any kind. What you want is a simple way for your site visitors to forward your site – or a specific page on your site – to friends who can use the same product or service.

Some sites will get forwarded simply because they are so “cool”, but the best way is to offer a powerful incentive. If you are running a campaign that offers specials, discounts or coupons, that would be the page you want forwarded. Check out http://www.refer-a-buddy.com/. Subscription is inexpensive and a free trial is available. Email validation and performance tracking is included.

Important: Emails harvested through recommendations from friends are not opt-ins unless the recipient checks that they want to be included in your email list. Here is an article that will give you further information on how to optimize Viral Marketing: http://www.clickz.com/837511.

Think carefully about the incentive you offer. You want to make it as attractive as possible, but also make sure that you can fulfill what you offer. Viral marketing has the capacity to spin out of control. Do some testing where you put limits on your incentive, i.e., “the next 100 referrals…” or “referrals received by (date)” and see what happens.

5 Proven Methods to Building Traffic

As the internet age advances, more and more businesses are finding new life online. The potential benefits of such a venture are great as the internet allows for access to millions of possible customers across the globe. The startup costs tend to be lower as many entrepreneurs run their online businesses from home. Unlike a physical store or office, online businesses are usually open 24hrs a day, everyday. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the success rate for startup online businesses is about 10% as 9 out of 10 online businesses simply don’t work. Getting traffic to your site can be the most difficult of tasks. There you are eager and ready, your website looks great, your merchandise or service is ready and the future seems bright. So how do you get people to come to your site? The following will give you 5 methods that will help steer you in the correct direction.

1.    Search Optimization
Search optimization is the method used to allow for your website to be ranked higher as a result of a search for specific keywords or phrases by a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Businesses will target certain keywords that are relevant to their content and place them on the homepage and/or other pages on their site. As an example we can look at the online retailer, jewelrypayless.com. They optimize words such as “silver jewelry” or “men’s ring”, etc.  When Google receives a request for one of these key words jewelrypayless.com will come up in the search results. It is, however, not as easy as this. Your site may show up on page 100 buried deep within the search result listings. In order to get listed higher more work has to be done, as described in this article. Also, the act of optimizing a site requires some knowledge of HTML which is the basic language with which websites are built. You can use an HTML editor such Dreamweaver or Frontpage to add keywords to the pages which you are optimizing.

2.    Linking Strategy
Websites often reserve an area of their site dedicated to links. The page usually consists of categorized links pointing to other recommended sites. Usually, websites will exchange links for mutual benefit. The more links you have pointing to your site, the better. Links to your site(inbound) show the search engines that your site has value. The best way to go about this process is to establish good content on your site and begin targeting websites you would link to exchange links with. You can buy software to help you do this or you can manually send out link exchange invitations via email.

3.    Pay Per Click
The fastest way to get traffic is through pay-per-click advertising. Essentially, every time a web surfer clicks on an ad of your creation, you will pay. The price can range from 25 cents to $2 per click depending on the popularity of the keyword or phrases you’ve chosen. Basically, your ad will pop up in an area designated for paid ads once the keyword has been searched. It is important that you understand the correct keywords for your business in order to avoid paying unnecessary fees for irrelevant keywords. The most effective and popular of the pay per click ad sponsors are Google and Overture. You can also use shopping malls such as Nextag.com, Bizrate.com or Shopping.com to advertise via pay-per-click. Make sure to set your budget and monitor the results carefully making adjustments as you go along. Pay-per-click can be unreasonably expensive if not managed carefully.

4.  Affiliates
Affiliates are companies, individuals and organizations that you have established business relationships with in order to increase your exposure and sales revenue. Affiliates send traffic to your site via a link representing your business on their site. If the prospective customer should buy from you the affiliate gets a commission from the transaction. In order to use affiliates you are required to register with an affiliate program and begin recruiting affiliates to work for you.

Article Writing Tips: How to Beat Blank Screen Syndrome so you Can Build Traffic, Leads & Sales

Writing articles and submitting them to a worldwide audience online can be very exciting in the beginning.

You start out with great ideas. You’re motivated. You’re inspired. You’re ready, willing and able to educate audiences worldwide. You’re psyched to start building your list with targeted leads so you can make more money online selling your books, products and services.

But, after a while, you run out of steam.

You find yourself sitting at your computer with your eyes in a blank stare and your fingers ready at the keyboard. But they’re not typing.

You’re stumped!

The muse isn’t so amused anymore. You start hunting for things to write about. And, when you finally get yourself together and try to write an article, it doesn’t flow. There is not much to say. Things are awkward. You don’t know how to begin and how to end.

So where do you turn when your idea arsenal is running low?

Here Are 5 Ways to Eliminate Writer’s Block So You Can Write Articles Fast to Build Traffic, Leads and Profits:

1. Uncover the Hidden Source of Story Ideas with Surveys

Marketing professionals have turned towards web surveys to do research, plan projects, get feedback, develop new products and services, and create public relations and marketing opportunities. So why aren’t you using surveys to drum up ideas for articles. Surveys are hidden sources of story ideas, providing rich, timely, interesting and intriguing information that you can use in your own articles.

2. Go Blog Hopping

We’re all guilty of doing reading blogs from our blogroll on a regular basis. We can’t avoid it, even if we wanted to. However, the next time you blog hop, read your favorite blogs with the purpose of finding ideas to write articles about and ask yourself:

• What are bloggers and their readers interested in at the moment?

• What is the most popular topic that people blog about?

• Do I want to write about it too and create an article around that topic?

3. Use Your Own Blog as a Content Source

Your very own blog can become your best friend when it comes to writing articles. Your blog is a tool that will help you analyze what your audience is interested in. Review your blog posting archives. Find out which postings received the greatest number of reader comments – both positive and negative. Figure out which postings got the most views. Now you know exactly what your audience wants to know. So give them what they want, by writing articles based on your most popular topics..

4. Explore Article Directories

Article directories like EzineArticles.com are gold mines of ideas for article writers. Read articles written for your target audience to obtain ideas, but never plagiarize the actual articles.

The best article directories list the most popular or newest articles. Use this as your starting point. Then add your own ideas and experiences to develop the article ideas.

5. Relax Your Mind & Enjoy It All

By turning article writing into a burdensome, repetitive task, you will pay for it in stilted prose and cliché ideas. You must learn to relax and enjoy educating the World as you establish credibility, build link popularity and increase traffic, leads and sales.

A relaxed mind is an open mind. And an open mind is prepared to accept new and creative ideas for your article writing and marketing efforts.

Build Traffic & Generate Income With Ebay Auction Bump

Are you looking for way to build traffic to your site, keep your visitors coming back all while generating a steady stream of income? If you said yes to any of the above, you should check out the Auction Bump script. This article will outline some of the basic features of this simple yet powerful script & how it can be put to work for you.

What It Is

An “auction bump” is where eBay sellers can post their auction, buy it now item or eBay store item right to your website. The term “bump” refers to the way the posted auction are placed, newest first while the oldest postings are dropped…or “bumped” off. Postings include both an image and brief description of their item. The process is completely self-serve and is extremely simple for visitors to use.

Now why would you let someone advertise THEIR items on YOUR site? Lets read on…

Build And Keep Traffic

With over 150 million registered users and millions of items for sale, the competition on eBay had gotten extremely stiff. Smart sellers are turning to sites in addition to eBay to help drive traffic to their products & listings. This is where you come in. With a little effort you can flood your site with eager eBayers looking for free advertising and promotion opportunities. Once they find your site they will keep coming back to advertise new items for sale!

Generate Income

Perhaps the most important feature of this script is how easy it is to generate income through the eBay Affiliate Program, or as it is now known, the eBay Partner Network (EPN). Every posting a visitor adds to your site is automatically converted to an affiliate link. Each time an item posted to your site is clicked that user receives a tracking cookie from eBay. You will earn a commission for every item that person buys on eBay for 7 days.

Script Features And Requirements

Have complete control of postings with a backend admin system including user banning & remove or edit items. You can also modify the look & feel of the script output from the admin area.

As a personal user of this script I found it extremely simple to install and even easier to manage. It is not a get rich quick scheme or an overnight success program, but of you are willing to put forth a little effort, you can have great success being an eBay affiliate using the Auction Bump script.

Requires: PHP (version 4.3 or higher) | 1 MYSQL Database | GD Libary (PHP) | Linux Hosting

Building Traffic With Press Releases For The Web

They?re not something a lot of people associate with the web, but the old publicity tool which is the press release has become one of the most effective ways to drive traffic, increase sales and generally raise the profile of your business online. A well written, search engine optimized press release created with the online world in mind can do wonders for your business.

Not only does a press release stand on its own as a piece of SEO web content which links to your site and may be found by prospective customers, a good press release may be picked up and used by any number of websites or even print and broadcast media. This is the kind of exposure any business could use ? and once you know how to write an effective online press release, your business can start reaping the benefits.

Start by identifying your story; every press release needs to have a strong, coherent narrative which tells the reader about something which is genuinely newsworthy. What?s newsworthy, you ask? This is one of the hardest things about press releases for newcomers ? keep in mind that just because you?re excited about something doesn?t make it news.

If your business is launching or re-launching its website, that?s newsworthy. If you?re introducing a new product or service (unless this is a frequent occurrence), it?s newsworthy. If your business has had changes in senior level personnel or earned an important certification, this is also news. Have a look at some of the press release websites to get an idea of what makes the cut.

As with any other writing, your headline has to be strong. The headline should tell the story in the fewest words possible. Keep it brief, keep it catchy but avoid hype.

While we?re on the topic of hype, it?s important to mention that it has no place in a press release ? this is a news item, not a sales pitch. A press release which tries to make sales directly is one which has no future and more than likely no readers either.

A press release needs to tell its story in an objective way. There is one place for subjective statements in this format, which is in the form of attributions. These quotations from company insiders or spokespersons (in this case, you) can be used to make statements which wouldn?t otherwise be appropriate in a press release.

This doesn?t mean that you can copy and paste your sales pitch and surround it with quotation marks, however. A few well-chosen sentences which avoid going overboard yet still getting your own point of view across will do nicely. When you use them the right way, attributions add credibility to your press release and put a human face on your business, something which can be very effective. Remember that prospective customers may read this ? the search engines are not your only, or even your primary audience here.

Follow the standard formatting for press releases when writing your online release. You can look at how other releases are put together and use them as a model. Keep your press release short and to the point ? many press releases are as short as 200 words. You don?t have to make it quite this short, but don?t go over one page.

Include contact information in your press release. You?ll definitely want to include the URL of your site and your business email address and a phone or fax number and mailing address are always good to include as well. This gives the impression that you?re a well established business and if website or media outlet wants to cover your company based on your press release, they?ll be able to contact you easily.

Writing press releases for traffic generation doesn?t have to be difficult, but there are some important rules to follow and it can take some practice to get it right. By following the guidelines given here, you?ll be on your way to increasing traffic, driving sales and making a name for your business.
