Angels Among Us Part 2

In most cases Angels do not directly act upon the earth plane. It is necessary in most cases for a human to be directed to action or to another’s aid by a guardian or a messenger angel. That is why, if you remain open to being directed, you will have an urgency to pray for someone or feel directed to someone or some place. If you pay attention to that urge you may be directed to some place where you have never been before. Once you get to that place the angel will also direct you to a more specific place where someone might be in grave danger, trapped or drowning, hurt or being hurt. If you need greater help than you alone can offer, many times people with specialized skills will be directed to you by their guardian angels. It is not a coincidence that the right people show up at a terrible scene just at the right moment. It is a highly coordinated effort by angels working through human contact and with human prayers.

When angels interact with us on the earth plane they are not regulated by our earthly time; they can explode through time. That is why many times we feel that time stood still, or that it flew by in a crisis situation. Because they operate at such a higher frequency and vibration, the speed with which something is accomplished is at a lightning speed compared to our limited time capacity. If you are open to their presence you can talk to them and begin to hear them as you further develop you can also sense them physically and even see them. Often times people cannot see them because angels are vibrating at a high frequency and we are usually not that purified or clear to vibrate at a frequency which allows us to discern them.

On occasion, I have sensed an angelic being, and on two occasions I have had visions of two angels. On one occasion I just sensed her presence. I was in a period of great distress, and I felt so alone and isolated, and I was weeping with my head down. I felt this very gentle touch on my hair and my shoulder. I was being consoled by this gentle female presence. The softest female voice said to me. “My beautiful baby. My precious little girl. Shhh. I’m here.” After some time, I felt loved.

The first time that I clearly saw a male angel was a time that I was working in a Reiki Circle and I was giving Reiki to a black man named Joseph. Joseph was quite beautiful, and he had a goatee and long braids. I stood behind Joseph and I felt the angel envelop both of us. I had my hand on Joseph’s shoulders. At that moment my hands were covered with great big hands and I felt the angel step up behind me quite close. There was a huge sweep upward through my body like a warm breeze and this gentle but consistent feeling of being embraced by a tremendously kind being. Then I saw these massive arms with a massive torso of the being. He had a perfectly formed male body. But he was about eight feet tall. He was stunning brilliant white with huge billowy wings. I could see and feel the awesomeness of him. He spoke this very clearly into my ears so that I thought the other people in the room could hear: ” This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. He carries a great message.”

After we had finished the Reiki circle I was filled with great joy. I spoke to Joseph and told him what I had seen. I don’t think that he believed me. I don’t think he thought that he was worthy. I was taking a photograph of beautiful foliage with red and orange leaves in up state New York, and I was really filled with joy. When I developed the picture, there was this column of light for no apparent reason. I believe it was an angel making its presence known to me.

Angels can also physically intercede in times of great tragedy, and desperate moments when every available human resource and technology has been exhausted. The television show It’s A Miracle described a man who was drowning in choppy waters and no one was able to reach him. He had gone under the water several times and the waves and current were very strong. The churning water soon overwhelmed him and he began to plunge down, being caught up in seaweed as he struggled. As he was fully under the water and losing his last bit of air, he described a person who suddenly swam very swiftly towards him, pulled him free from the seaweed and hauled him up to the surface. This young male swimmer then swam with him, carried him to the shore and brought him five feet up the beach. Even though the drowning man was speaking to the young man, the young man never said a word. The moment that he was laid down, the rescued man opened his eyes and looked around to find that he was all alone. His friends ran about a hundred yards down the beach to him. His rescuer had mysteriously disappeared. Bewildered, he asked his friends where the young man had gone and no one could answer him or say how he was pulled out. Some of his friends thought that they had seen him washed up on the shore. Others said that they heard him crying out further down the beach, and that is what caught their attention. Mayor Villaraigosa Shares Control of the Los Angeles Schools

Last month, I wrote in an article about Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa proposing a legislative bill to take control of the Los Angeles schools (see Los Angeles Schools Strongly Opposed to Takeover by Mayor Villaraigosa). Reform Bill 1381 passed the state legislature at the end of August, with some changes.

Villaraigosa, who portrayed himself as the one person who could make a success of the Los Angeles schools system, instead must share control of the school system with the Los Angeles schools board and the Council of Mayors. The mayor did, however, receive direct control of three low-performing high schools and their feeder elementary and middle schools.

The final reform bill makes running the Los Angeles schools much more complex for everyone concerned. First, there is a logistical problem with Villaraigosa and the Los Angeles schools board in two separate locations, making decision making a longer, more drawn out process. The role of teachers in deciding curriculum now is uncertain, and many believe the mayor’s plan may impede new school construction, considered a successful endeavor by the Los Angeles schools board. The bill’s language is confusing, already causing conflicting interpretations.

There also is a question on the legality of the bill, which is expected to face an immediate legal challenge. The Los Angeles schools board, which was adamantly opposed to the bill, already has discussed a lawsuit, claiming that the bill violates the requirement in the state constitution that schools remain within the educational system. The opinion of the legislature’s counsel is that the Los Angeles schools board has a case, but Villaraigosa believes it will survive a challenge.

Ever the politician, the mayor now is looking to foster cooperation with teachers, parents and the Los Angeles schools board, but he may find this difficult. He leveled blistering criticism at the school board and its members over the past year. Even Assemblywoman Jackie Goldberg (D-Los Angeles) criticized Villaraigosa during a hearing by the Assembly Education Committee, which she chairs, stating that she was disappointed that he did not have the same dialogue with the Los Angeles schools board as he did with the teachers’ unions.

Villaraigosa continues to promote the passage of the bill as an opportunity for parents, educators, the Council of Mayors, the cities and himself to partnership for the betterment of the Los Angeles schools. Though no clear specifics have even been given by the mayor on how he will proceed, he remarked that the new power-sharing arrangement will reshape and invigorate a “lethargic bureaucracy that has underserved generations of students”. He further stated that success depends on his leadership and the contributions of his Los Angeles schools partners.

Remembering the Angels

Remembers to Call
I wish I remembered to call the Angels many times over the
course of any single day, because I’d be happier and life
would be smoother if I did remember.
But I do remember at strategic times, like when a placenta
refuses to dislodge and I remember! and immediate release
inevitably follows.
Or when a woman is bleeding heavily, I remember! And the
bleeding subsides, miraculously!
I one time remembered to call the Angels when the doctor insisted that if the patient failed to deliver her baby in fifteen
minutes, she’d go immediately to the operating room for a
Cesarean section, and the baby delivered beautifully, after
a silent angel prayer.
Remembering the angels is like releasing consciousness to the dream state because once you remember, forgetfulness takes over, again.
Remembering is like a slowing down of the mind, relinquishing thought, aligning the mind to every mind around you so that every mind works in concert with all other minds.
Remembering is like looking at my dogs who are lying at my feet and suddenly realizing-that YES! They are my Angels who tell me to walk outside in the autumn sun, to watch a leaf fall from the mighty oak, and enjoy the moment which suddenly feels like it will never end.
Remembering the angels reminds me to love myself before I can loveanyone else.
Remembering the angels tunes me into the things that matter in this life–and beyond.
When I think of the angels, I feel immediate protection.
Meditation on the guardian protectors of us all yields peace, (of mind).
The greatest gift I can give anyone, is to remember the angels.
We don’t have to be aware of their presence to reap the rewards of their benefits, just as we don’t have to be constantly aware of the air we breathe. Yet they are as nourishing and as necessary as that next breath!
We can be like the angels, going about our lives with a creative joy, resourcefulness, and faith in the goodness of all far beyond our having to understand “why.”
Angels don’t do their work with a vibration of drudgery, and neither do we need to. We need to raise our scope and our vision, get rid of the blinders that limit our ability to see the potential inherent in every situation: And call the angels to help us do that.
We can purify every intention we have not only in our patient care, but in every interaction with human or beast.
Daily meditation and prayer brings us closer to the angelic realm. The peace that arises after each session of stillness and quiet is an invitation to the angels, and draws them near. In those moments of clarity, remembering to seek their counsel is a real moment of enlightenment!
