I remember seeing this cartoon when I was a little girl. Never forgot it.
Very sweet. Now I’m an adult & I believe in God above all things. Jesus is my
Lord & savior. We have Santa decorations crosses & angels, A Nativity, etc. I &
My children still watch christmas cartoons & movies. Just part of our Christmas
tradition. God Bless everyone! Merry Christmas & Happy New year & Shalom..

Wonderful, wonderful special. And FYI, the singer of the song at the end of the special is Jimmy Osmond – Donny and Marie’s little brother.

What is really neat about this particular cartoon is 1) I saw it when it debuted back in 1974 and 2) It is the only cartoon that I know of where there are four fingers and a thumb on each character. Nowadays, “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy” and other cartoons like this one have three fingers and a thumb!

This rates as #1 in sentimentality. #! Christmas Season TV animation has got to be A Charlie Brown Christmas! I grew up with all of these and they still effect me the same now as they did then!

I’ve never seen this before. I was born in ’68. One of those specials I missed. I just saw this for the first time thanks to you. It’s beautiful. I will be sharing it with my kids. Thanks so much for uploading this. God bless, and Merry Christmas.

Thank you for posting this wonderful memory from my ’70′s childhood! I love the song “Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” just as much as any carol.
I remember I was surprized to find out it was performed by Jimmy Osmond!

The editorial “video” ranks with the Schroeder’s playing of Beethoven’s Pathetique sonata from “A Boy Named Charlie Brown”.

Anyone from back in the day will melt when they see this. I forgot about the Song during the end credits. ”Yes Virginia There Is A Santa Clause” As a Kid I used to always want to sing this Song instead of Jingle Bells. LOL!!
