I know that Christmas isn’t about the gifts and it’s about family but I have noticed that gifts can be a part of Christmas as well. I only get 1 present which is about 10-60 dollars and I have seen many of my friends receive from up to 10-30 gifts ranging from 10-200 dollars.
3 to 5… my kids each give me something, usually something home-made or that they picked up at a flea market or dollar store.
My husband and I sometimes exchange gifts, sometimes don’t. It’s not important.
My mother sometimes gives me something, but I ask her not to.
My kids only get a few things, as we don’t focus on gifts and spending. They get a book, a set of pjs, maybe some art supplies or I’ll knit them something or a board game, dolls, things like that.
We don’t do any big ticket items… just small things.
We also make gifts for everyone else.
I usually recieve up to 27 presents. I really don’t look at the monetary value more of the thought thats behind it.
