1. I mean shouldn’t the umpires first report a potential misconduct to the match referee before disciplinary action is taken?
2. Don’t you think “no-ball controversy that denied Virender Sehwag a century during Monday’s match between India and Sri Lanka” mentioned in Cricinfo was due to umpires misjudgment at that time instead of the Sri Lankan bowlers fault (technically it was 7 runs from the single no ball with the 6 being credited to the batsman)?
3. Is it fair a misconduct resulting in a players injury is scarcely noticed whereas this one gets so much importance?
4. What would be a good phrase to describe this over-reaction? I know a huge proportion will say its righteous, however, I think it is “sissy” pandering! Sorry folks no hard feelings!
Thanks

P.S: On an unrelated note, from my friends and well wishers….Yahoo has finally given due recognition to the plight of the Pakistan flood victims by including a donation tab in the USA Yahoo front page. To all people now in Pakistan, chin up, the worst is past!
EDIT: Not an over-reaction???
Indeed it is not an unqualified over-reaction, “hysterical” over-reaction sounds better:

@ Pansie, I think that probably and an over-meticulous effort to keep a clean image..:)
@ Ashish, who is talking about BCCI??
@ Madam Bingalee, your agreeing to the rantings of a gadfly (your imposter) gives regrettable credibility to his/her furtive and ignoble efforts..&.. can only serve to compromise your position.
@ Albert, thanks for your good wishes bhai mian!
@ Mr Karikalan, a really good answer & unbiased too…! Similar in content to what Mr Sambit Bal (Ed Cricinfo) feels about this matter!
@ Furioso, cant blame all Indians. By the way, be as it may, I think this issue need not be so out of proportion!
Thanks everybody for your views.
